Bold and dynamic contemporary oil painting. The pale blue of the centre ground is bright and luminescent, almost sky-like. Gestural brushstrokes in olives and crimson break in from the right side. Other layers can just about be seen through light glazes, for example on the left and the work is impasto and textured in places.
