This oil and gold leaf painting is a joyful celebration of the artist's coastal home town of St Leonard's-on-Sea. The rocks of the coastline are rendered in deep browns and the sea rises in jubilant and foaming waves. The centre of the work reveals some of the gold leaf on the base of the work and the sky is surreal and dreamlike.
